OPPORTUNITY FROM TRAGEDY
As part of the contemplative heart of the Church, the primary purpose of our community, the Brothers and Sisters of Charity, brings vocations and renewal through our monastic heritage.
When our Little Portion monastery was destroyed by a fire in 2008 we lost much, including our kitchen. In response, neighbors brought us whatever spare food they had including oats, raisins, nuts and maple syrup - the ingredients to make granola! So Viola made some and all who tried it from community to visitors, REALLY LIKED IT!
In 2013 our Foundress, Viola Talbot, launched the Little Portion Bakery. Since then Viola's Granola has gained quite a following!
HELPING THE NEEDY
Viola's childhood dream was to help the poor. Since the inception of Little Portion Bakery, Voila has donated to the local poor. Now she is donating to poor and needy in the Holy Land.
Viola's dream is to extend this outreach to serve the poor throughout the world for years to come! As she says, "the more the Bakery makes, the more the poor make!"
WILL YOU PARTNER WITH US TO LAUNCH VIOLA'S GRANOLA TO THE WORLD?
We now have the opportunity to greatly extend this ministry! Viola's Granola is a BIG HIT! We have many potential clients, but need your help to go to the next step!
We are seeking donations to help launch VIOLA'S GRANOLA at the Fancy Food Show in New York City this coming June, 2019. The initial expenses include the exhibit booth, travel, lodging, shipping, and much more. This single event will present our ministry to over 200,000 specialty food experts (individuals, businesses and organizations) from around the world! It will be well worth it not only to our community but to the poor!
